September 2002, newscast TgLa7, Italy. Frediano Finucci reports, live, on the emergency situation in a ski resort in the Italian Alps where a lake created by a melting glacier threated the village of Macugnaga. The Italian government sent 200 soldiers, civil protection officers, firemen and volunteers and six helicopters to the area, 7,500ft above sea level. They managed to drain the lake with a giant water pump and saved Macugnaga from inundation.
