From Simon & Schuster, Lost Laysen is pure magic, a gift for us to cherish from America’s most beloved storyteller.
Until recently, the odd thought Margaret Mitchell had only one story to tell: Gone With the Wind. Now meet a heroine to match Scarlett: Courtenay Ross, a feisty, independent-minded woman, and the two men — one a cool-headed, well-heeled gentleman, the other a hot-blooded, pugnacious sailor — who adore her.

The first (approximate) half of this book is about Margaret Mitchell and, together with many photographs, is both interesting and informative. The second half is the actual short story, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I would highly recommend this book for both sections.

Fast delivery, good condition. The book is small but my daughter love it. She finished on the same day.

In 1916, this story of 4 chapters, was written by hand, in a little less than a month, by a little lady of 15 years old. Awesome. Sure is – I’d like somebody to make a movie of this. There certainly is a story line, the characters are interesting, the dialogue is concise and crisp. I will not describe the story or its outcome except to say that it is intense and its impact is felt by the first reading. From beginning to end the story moves quickly to its finale. You’ve probably noticed the writer’s name. Right, she’s the same, Margaret Mitchell. Also in this book you will find more of her personal history.

She wrote this when a teenager. It’s her “Proof positive” as a gifted author. Gone With The Wind is, of course, her ;egacy; but this is a MUST read to appreciate her prophetic journey.
