The origin of life from non-life remains one of the most enduring mysteries of modern science. The Mystery of Life’s Origin: The Continuing Controversy investigates how close scientists are to solving that mystery and explores what we are learning about the origin of life from current research in chemistry, physics, astrobiology, biochemistry, and more. The book includes an updated version of the classic text The Mystery of Life’s Origin by Charles Thaxton, Walter Bradley, and Roger Olsen, and new chapters on the current state of the debate by chemist James Tour, physicist Brian Miller, astronomer Guillermo Gonzalez, biologist Jonathan Wells, and philosopher of science Stephen C. Meyer.

    Lavoro monumentale e monolitico

An excellent source of information, from scientists,Evolution dismantled on improbability of life arising spontaneously from a probiotic soup. You can find information here that that they do not teach you in school!

This is a fascinating account/review of the current state of play concerning abiogenesis. The authors are thorough, wide ranging and everything is referenced. The issues are clearly laid out and their arguments are cogent. If, after reading this, you still believe in natural causes for the origin of life, then you must be welded to your worldview trusting to blind faith rather than accepting the evidence. Very challenging for the philosophical naturalist/materialist, and very encouraging for ID and theists in general.

As a Christian who was a professional scientist, I have always found ID less than compelling. At the same time, abiogenesis seemed like silly, wishful thinking. Not having had but one undergrad course apiece in organic, bio- and physical chemistry, I have never felt like I could think out a critique for myself, however. Now come Thaxton, Bradley, Olsen, Tour and Meyer to do the heavy work for me.This book is a gem, and not simply because of its well-defended thesis: It should also be held up in front of all the bright young Christian people who errantly believe they must avoid science or give away their faith.

This is very technical and very hard for a common man to understand

  6. Dr Hector N Stewart

Clear and plain analysis of strengths and weaknesses of methods tried to stimulate life
